As long as it is “Giant messaging phone Monday” (at least this once), PC Magazine just posted a review of the current crop of Windows Mobile smartphone.  The article covers seven of the currently available devices, and if you are considering one now or can’t make a decision it’s worth a look.  Click here to read it, buy smartphone, come back tot he foneGEAR store for samrtphone cases, live productively ever after.

Phones covered -  Motorola Q9m, Motorola Q9h, HTC Touch, Samsung SCH-i760, Sprint Mogul, HTC 8925.

When it comes down to it

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

don’t we all just need an “affordable messaging phone?”  Sure, some people want cameras, and Bluetooth, and web access, and email, and calendaring , and video games, and an MP3-player, but lately I have really been thinking, “phone,”  ie something that places and takes phone calls, doesn’t take up a lot of space, and just works right.  Perhaps Samsung is on to something here with the SCH-R410, available from Metro PCS.  If you buy one, be sure to come back for a case or a charger.
