New “touch” phone by Samsung!

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Samsung’s new Anycall Haptic is a treat for the eyes and the fingers! The phone features a large touch-screen display (like the iPhone) but it also enables uses to feel clicks, vibrations and other tactile input. There are 22 kinds of touch sensations on the new phone.

The name, Anycall Haptic, comes from the Greek word “haptesthai” which means “touch.” When the word is used as a plural, “haptics,” it means the science and physiology of the sense of touch. For more information about haptics or the new Anycall Haptic phone, click here!

The good and the bad - iPhone reviews!

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

After the release of the new Apple iPhone 3G there have been many reviews of the product. Overall, most find the product an improvement from the first iPhone and are generally favorable towards it. There are still some drawbacks, however.

Just a few of the new improved features include: improved sound quality with a metal grill over the earpiece and speaker, louder volume making it easier to hear and be heard, improved reception and a GPS application are just a few.

Some of the features that were less favorable included: no removable SD card, no removable battery and no video recording.

For more information read the full reviews, here just a few of them:

1 Million iPhones sold opening weekend!

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

Apple Inc. sold 1 million of the new iPhones in just three days over the weekend. The phone was released last Friday July 11 in 21 countries.

Apple ran out of iPhones in 95 stores including all of the Apple shops in Alabama, Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Rhode Island and Wisconsin.

Apple and AT&T are demanding customers pick a two-year service plan at the time of purchase. They are hoping to prevent buyers from reselling the phone or unlocking them to work on unauthorized wireless networks.
